“The Story of the Quilt” is the first personal expository piece I’ve written in a long time. Personal narrative or personal expository is a hard genre for me, but I do it so I can expand my writing horizons a bit and find a voice that can tell stories the way my Dad did. He had such a good storytelling voice.
