When I was a little girl, I used to sit on the floor and pour over the annuals of the World Book Encyclopedia that my Grandfather had. I loved reading about NASA, the Galaxy, and the various probe missions such as Voyagers I and II. It’s amazing to me that I was 10 years old when these missions launched and now 33 years and 10.8 billion miles later they are still sending data back to JPL and NASA. So in a way, it’s only fitting that my fascination with space brings me to Houston.
Northrup’s T-38 Talons are the training planes for NASA Astronauts. These two are located right outside the Space Center Houston Entrance In Talon Park. And they always catch my eye when I drive by.
