Day 78

March14

Parking Lot Plant

I think this is an oleander plant. The Park and Ride Lot close to my house has plants growing up out of the pavement in several locations. This one just happened to be next to car.

I really like this image. I like the lines of the plant with the lines of the parking curb and the lines marking the parking slot. I also like the round of the base. It’s a picture I’m happy with.

Day 43

Feb072011

Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. It’s the point where I know I am close to home. It’s the point I know that in a few more minutes I can shuck out of my work clothes and shimmy into my comfy clothes. It’s where I know that Simba is waiting for me, and will run from his nap spot, to the kitchen window and watch me come down the walk. It’s the point where I stop thinking about being a technical writer and start thinking about being a creative writer, a photographer and an artist.

Day 21

jan162011

Bay Area Museum, Clear Lake Park. I love the old time feel of this building. I haven’t ever been in it but I’m going to change that this year. This is a year of exploration, not only with the analog cameras but physically.

BonusSX702

BonusSX703

I’m happy with these pictures even though a couple of them are not that great. I bought a used SX-70 Polariod One Step from Texas Art Asylum. Initially I thought the camera didn’t work, but after today’s shots, I think that was due more to a lack of light than anything else. Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny, so I’m going to see what happens with the rest of the pack.
