Day 78

March14

Parking Lot Plant

I think this is an oleander plant. The Park and Ride Lot close to my house has plants growing up out of the pavement in several locations. This one just happened to be next to car.

I really like this image. I like the lines of the plant with the lines of the parking curb and the lines marking the parking slot. I also like the round of the base. It’s a picture I’m happy with.

Day 40

Feb042011

The blue sky breaking through the clouds over Clear Lake this afternoon. What this means is the winter storm that never really materialized on my side of Houston is over. It also means that it’s going to be super cold down here tonight because there’s no cloud cover to keep the heat in.

Bonus Shot #3

BonusPX70Color06

It’s the little things that make me happy with the project. This picture makes me happy because you can actually see the color (and not just a hint of color) and the image itself is relatively in focus. I’m also happy because I thought the little Polariod One-Step I bought a month or so ago didn’t work – turns out what it really needed was more light and a warm armpit for the image to sit in for a while.

One thing I’m definitely working on with this project is slowing down and making sure I’m really good and set before I take the picture. All that exercise stuff I’ve been done is coming in handy for this project.

Day 21

jan162011

Bay Area Museum, Clear Lake Park. I love the old time feel of this building. I haven’t ever been in it but I’m going to change that this year. This is a year of exploration, not only with the analog cameras but physically.
