Week 5 of the Polariod Project is in the books and it feels good. As of this past weekend, I’ve shot five different kinds of Polaroid Cameras and seven different kinds of instant film. I picked up some Fuji film this past weekend because I’m curious about how well it plays with my 100 pack camera.
I have a feeling that The Impossible Project won’t have 100 pack film much longer. And that will make me sad. I love the blue and I love the chocolate film. They add such interesting dimensions to the pictures. I am curious as to when The Impossible Project will release their color film for the 600 pack cameras.
With picture 36 in the books, I have 329 days left with this project. So far I’ve enjoyed it. I’ve some really great shots and I’ve gotten a few stinkers but overall I’m happy with the results and the feed back I am getting about this project. There are days I wish I was just a bit taller so some shots turned out a better [Note to self: put aerobic step under the desk so you gain 6 inches on the desk top and get better shots]. But the overall effect has been that I’m slowing down and really looking at the world around me. And as a result, I’m making better images.
Isn’t that what every photographer wants?
